The Washburn University Dancing Blues are a vital part of the Washburn spirit. As the university’s official dance team, the Dancing Blues bring energy and excitement to all home football games, women’s and men’s basketball games, NCAA tournament matchups, as well as various university and alumni events. Beyond these spirited performances, the team showcases their talent on the national stage and celebrated notable success last season, earning 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place at the DTU nationals in Orlando, Florida.

 

While dance unites us, the most rewarding aspect of being a Dancing Blue is the lifelong friendships you build. We are more than just a team—we are a family that supports one another through every high and low of college life. The bonds you create on this team become friendships that last a lifetime.
