The Avila University Dance Team is both a competitive and a game day dance team! We are on the sidelines, and perform at the halftime of football and women’s and men’s basketball games. Our team has competed at the Universal Dance Associations College National's, as well as Dance Team Unions College Classic ever since the inception of our dance program in 2000. During that time we have won numerous awards, both at the national and conference levels! The Avila Dance Team has won 9 Conference Championships & 5 National Championships, most recently winning both the jazz and the hip-hop categories at both the 2022 and 2023 College Classic! One of the things that makes Avila‘s Dance Team very unique, is that the university recognizes our program as a varsity sport! Our dancers receive the same funding, and scholarships, as our other athletic teams! Our 2024 recruiting class will receive an Avila University Scholarship of $30,000 a year if they sign to dance with us! This scholarship is renewable each year that you are a member of our team!
